Got hooked up with these neon balls; Wild caught (CLASS N) Endler's Livebearers which I obtained from the most reputable breeder in Miami. My strains are ELBAA (SPMP) registered and the first ever Class N endlers to reach the Philippines. Kudos to the effort of Adrian HD who devoted his whole life preserving this nearly extinct species. His stocks came directly from Cumana, Venezuela- Its native habitat wherein it has been threatened by industrialization. Their survival relies on the hands of responsible Aquarists/breeders who strictly does not interbred or hybridized them with other livebearers...And well...to prevent burn-out from gazing into these divine fishes, I started my collection of this mysterious Aquatic aroid in the genus called Cryptocoryne. Comprised of over 50 Species, the collection started as a trial but as I kept on reading some of the blogs and articles in the web, I later found out that these obscure aroids are also in jeopardy. Their natural habitat in SE Asia has been f*cked up as well and more likely will suffer the same fate as that of the Endlers.
I don’t know… Maybe I’m a ‘Conservation’ freak of some class… But one thing’s for sure… EXTINCTION SUCKS!!!
